In the case of a Portrait of Light, the process begins by observing the aura and then depicting the inner light from a detached, elevated perspective. This allows me to capture a direct, non-inverted image as seen from the front. The aura typically visible consists of a primary layer of bluish-purple, surrounded by a gradient of emerald green.

These colors are depicted in the upper portion of the work. The imagery of a sun-like light source and its radiating beams came to me intuitively. I believe this reflects my nature of often acting as a supporter or cheerleader for those around me. Although I have never officially practiced as a therapist, I seem to have possessed the qualities of a healer for a long time; it has been common for people to unexpectedly approach me with profound personal concerns.

This self-portrait brings to the forefront that inherent nature of illuminating others.
