Yucatán

Beginning with a pyramid in Yucatán, this work imagines the moment when ordinary space begins to shift into another dimension. The staircase is part of the architecture, yet it also becomes a passage toward a different world. Like a path appearing across water, it creates a route through a place where movement should not normally be possible.

The surrounding medium is not the air we know. Within it, light and architectural forms become uncertain, and the pyramid gradually loses its shape. Only the staircase remains, connecting this side with somewhere beyond.

The work is not intended as a depiction of an ancient ruin. Instead, a real place becomes an entrance into a realm governed by different conditions of matter, time, and space. The familiar structure is still present, but its physical logic is beginning to dissolve, leaving the viewer at the threshold between recognizable reality and an entirely unknown state.
