This work reconstructs the perceptual trace of Barcelona through layered dissolution and chromatic heat. The image draws on architectural fragments—balconies, arcades, mosaic floors—blended with organic forms reminiscent of Gaudí’s sculptural language. These elements do not assert identity directly; rather, they emerge gradually, like details recalled in sunlight after time has passed.
The dominant ochre and terracotta palette evokes warmth, dryness, and physical presence. The surface is textured like tile, like stone, like scorched paper—where city and sun have etched a shared memory. At the center, a soft vertical structure rises, part sculpture, part shadow, offering compositional lift without formality.
Barcelona belongs to the Urban Memory Series, where cities are not captured but felt—abstracted through atmosphere and rendered in light. This version holds the city in suspension: tactile yet fading, structured yet dissolving, anchored only by the viewer’s own sense of recognition.
