月読命 Tsukuyomi-no-mikoto
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto is the enigmatic deity of the night and the moon's counterpoint to the sun. Ruling the realm of darkness, this Japanese deity embodies the cosmic rhythm of time and the cycles of death and rebirth, maintaining a logical, silent order that balances the universe's profound mysteries.
Artist Commentary
In this work, I depicted a cosmic-scale silence and cold beauty within Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, transcending the simple concept of a "night deity." While the moon is often shown as soft, Tsukuyomi's essence lies in observing all things from the absolute zero of space. I sealed his hidden nature—an infinite motion within stillness and a sharp intelligence—into this blue vortex of light.
The pale blue light spreading quietly from the center represents a "mirror of truth" that strips away superficial emotions to expose the soul's core. This light cools excess heat and organizes chaotic thoughts, encouraging a "silent awakening" to return to one's true self. Through this portrayal, I hope your inner intellect is sharpened and your heart finds the calm of a still sea. Please receive the majesty of the night's ruler and the celestial melody echoing from the abyss.
