Dissapearing Dimensional Membrane

Disappearing Dimensional Membrane portrays the transitional process in which a dimensional membrane fades and ultimately closes. A dimensional membrane does not constantly link the three-dimensional world with higher dimensions; instead, it appears only momentarily and then vanishes. During this brief interval, light may pass through toward the higher-dimensional side, but if the timing is missed, passage must wait until the next emergence.

This work focuses on the instant when the membrane is in the process of disappearing. As closure progresses, its color drains away, and the structure gradually loses definition, signaling the end of its function as a passage. The image captures neither a beginning nor a completed disappearance, but the unstable moment in between.

The fading membrane resembles the process of decay, in which form, color, and presence slowly diminish. What is shown is a record of closure itself—an irreversible transition in which connection is lost and the membrane withdraws from perception.
