Message in Rouge

This work is inspired by the song Message in Rouge, transforming its lyrical narrative into a visual field. The central red form embodies “rouge”—a trace of desire, secrecy, and voice—while the surrounding fragments dissolve into a city night. Behind the figure of red, the faint geometry of highways and towers suggests the urban stage where a girl runs away, her urgency resonating through light.

Rather than illustrating the story directly, the piece reconstructs its emotional core: the rush of escape, the vulnerability of confession, and the fleeting spark of presence against the vast anonymity of the city. Light becomes both atmosphere and memory, carrying the message forward as a lingering afterimage..
