Suspension — 浮遊
A form begins to float from matter, but does not fully separate from it.
The pale central mass loosens from the darker surrounding surface, its edges becoming less fixed while the same grain, abrasion, and mineral density continue through it. It is lighter and less structured than the surrounding field, yet it still belongs to the same material condition.
This work began as a variation within the series: not simply depicting matter, but asking what happens when matter starts to release its hold on form. The floating presence has moved away from the heavier surface, but only slightly. It remains close enough that its origin is still visible and felt.
The image therefore occupies an intermediate state. It is neither a clearly defined material object nor something immaterial. The structure has weakened because the form itself is becoming less fixed. The work extends the Mineral series toward that boundary without leaving its material basis.
