大国主命 Ohkuninushi-no-mikoto
Okuninushi-no-Mikoto is the main deity of Izumo Taisha, renowned for completing the formation of the Japanese land. Beyond a god of "en-musubi" (matching fates), he is a compassionate guardian ruling the visible riches of agriculture and medicine, and the invisible order of the spiritual world.
Artist Commentary
In this work, I depicted the "earth-like embrace" of Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, who enfolds all existence and nurtures new life. While often imagined as the gentle "Daikoku-sama," his essence is a profound, quiet vibration—the crystallization of cosmic affection upon this earth. I entrusted the soft green and white light to represent his vast capacity to accept all beings.
The luminous body spreading from the center expresses a "magnetic field of compassion" that connects all fates and activates life. This light is a melody of healing and creation, intended to calm a restless heart like a still sea and awaken inner confidence and harmony. Through this piece, I hope you connect deeply with your roots and walk your path with strength, blessed by rich connections.
