Potala Palace

Potala Palace rises through cloud and mountain as if it belongs to another level of existence. The building remains recognizable, yet its edges dissolve into the surrounding atmosphere, making architecture, landscape, and light difficult to separate.

The palace is presented as a sacred structure that can only be looked up toward from the world below. Its elevated position suggests not simply height, but a threshold between dimensions. Light descends through the upper field while the mountains and clouds of Tibet merge into one environment, allowing the palace to appear less as a fixed monument than as a presence emerging from another realm.

The work draws on the idea of Potala Palace as a spiritual center of Earth, connected to another dimension. Nature does not function as scenery around the architecture. Instead, mountain, cloud, light, and building dissolve into one field, suspending the palace between the earthly world and an unknown dimension.
