Just as water changes form and continues to move forward, we too can find light within darkness and hardship, creating our own path. This work expresses that enduring force of life through ink and water.
Water Vein II — Emotional Eruption
Inspired by the Icelandic saying, “Water will always find its way.”
Emotions with nowhere to go remain trapped within, until they surge upward and spill through the smallest opening. Through the unrepeatable traces formed by ink, water, and a resist medium, this work captures the moment when uncontrollable emotion breaks open a path of its own.
Water Vein I — Critical Point
Inspired by the Icelandic saying, “Water will always find its way.”
Just as water reaches a critical point and begins to transform into another state, the human heart can also begin to turn toward new light when darkness and emotion reach their limit. Through the unrepeatable traces formed by ink, water, and a resist medium, this work expresses the threshold where transformation begins.
